Life Skills Coaching is a powerful partnership in which a trained coach helps youth specifically develop the skills to effectively deal with life challenges. There are 6 Key Life Skills Areas of Focus that youth will developing competency in:

Youth who have mastered psycho-social skills are more resilient and are less likely to fall victim to bullying and use illegal substances. Students who are actively involved in an effective Life Skills Coaching Program typically show sustainable improvement in overall academic performance.
The primary purpose of a Life Coach is to support their clients in clarifying what they want to achieve, experience, or “be” in life. In partnership with each other, the Coach and client will co-create specific and individualized goals that reflect the client’s desired outcome. Through the collaborative coaching process the coach and client will put into place a supportive plan of accountability that promotes forward progress.
Coaching is a “client-focused” process designed to assist in the complexities of your child’s life, particularly in during Middle School and High School. Coaching will be beneficial for helping to:
Coaching focuses on the total well-being of the client. The Life Skills Coaching Model serves as an educational and developmental process of self-discovery and progress towards achieving the personal and academic goals of the student.
Each client has specific and unique needs. There is not a “cookie-cutter” model to determine when you and your child should expect to see results. Your coach will design the plan of action that bests suits the needs of your child. The execution of that plan will depend on your child’s level of commitment and genuine desire to achieve a higher level of competency in the 6 Key Life Skills Areas of Focus. Positive parental involvement is highly encouraged however, the coaching experience is specifically to meet the needs to the client. Clients are fully responsible for their actions and choices. Therefore, how quickly you see the results is up to the client.
Individual Life Skills Coaching sessions are typically 45-60 minutes long. In order to achieve the best possible outcome and maintain the continuity between sessions, it is typically ideal to meet with your Coach once a week. The Coach and client together will determine what frequency best suits the client’s needs. It is important for both the client and the Coach to maintain consistency. Coaching sessions can be conducted via phone appointment as well. In office visits and phone appointments will be charged the same fee. The time you schedule with your Coach is fundamental to your progress and success. Investing time in your own personal development is the most valuable gift you will ever give yourself and those around you.
